Microsoft Quick Assist - User Guide

1. Launch Quick Assist

Option 1: Press the Windows key on your keyboard or click the Windows Start button on your taskbar.
Type Quick Assist in the search bar.
Select Quick Assist from the list of results.

Shortcut: Press Windows Key + Ctrl + Q to launch directly.

2. Enter Technician Code

You will see the Quick Assist window.
Under Get Help, enter the 6-digit code provided by your technician.
Click Submit.

3. Allow Screen Sharing

A prompt will ask if you want to allow screen sharing.
Click Allow to proceed.
If you click Decline, the session will end.

4. Active Session Controls

Once connected, you will see the Quick Assist control bar at the top of your screen.

Chat Icon (Word Balloon): Opens a chat window with the technician. Click again to close the chat.
Pause Icon: Temporarily stops screen sharing. The icon changes to a Play button. Click Play to resume sharing.
Leave Button: Ends the session immediately.
Close (X) Button: Also ends the session and closes the control bar.
