Set Default App for File

1. Right-click the file then select Properties

We want all PDF files to open with Foxit instead of Edge (which is what it is opening in now) so we need to locate any PDF file and right-click that.

2. Select Change...

3. Click on program then Set Default

In the example above, all PDF files will now open with Foxit Phantom.

By Settings

1. Right-click Windows icon then select Settings

2. Apps > Default Apps

3. Scroll all the way down and select Choose Defaults by File Type

4. Look up the extension then select the option that appears for it

In the example above, we want to change PDF files to open with Foxit, not Edge.
