Windows - Frequent Update requests Error
Step 1. Remote into Desktop
Step 2. Go to Advance Setting in Windows Update
- Go to the Windows Search Bar Type Settings
- Go to Windows Update -> Advanced Options
- In Advance options be sure that all options are turned on
Step 3. Open the Command Prompt
- Open up the Command Prompt as Administrator
- In the Command Prompt Use the following commands:
- sc config wuauserv start=auto
- sc config cryptSvc start=auto
- sc config bits start=auto
- sc config trustedinstaller start=auto
Step 4. Start Windows Update in Services

Go to Windows Search Bar and Type Services

Within Services Search for Windows Update
- Right Click on the Windows Update to open the Properties windowpane
- Startup Type: Automatic
- Service Status: Stop and start again
- Restart the Computer
Step 5. Attempt Updates once again
- Walk the user on how to update the machine once again.

Check for updates
